Founded by PADI Master Instructor Kevin Alexander, By The Shore SCUBA Instruction was created to offer an alternative to overcrowded, impersonal dive shop training. We believe learning to scuba dive should be a supportive, thorough, and enjoyable experience tailored to individual comfort.

We adhere strictly to PADI training standards. Every skill is practiced until you demonstrate true mastery and comfort.

We keep student-to-instructor ratios low so you receive immediate feedback, personalized attention, and zero rushing.

We accommodate busy work and family schedules with evening classroom sessions, weekend pool times, and custom private classes.
Active Diver Community
Our relationship doesn’t end when you get certified. We organize local quarry fun dives, NC wreck charters, and escorted group trips to Cozumel and the Florida Keys.
Training Facilities
We conduct our confined water pool training in clean, heated indoor facilities in Raleigh, allowing year-round instruction regardless of outside weather. Open-water qualification dives take place at Fantasy Lake Adventure Park in Wake Forest, NC, as well as on offshore North Carolina coastal wreck charters.
